It has been found that a conveyor system can be lubricated with dilute [1.0 x 10<-><3>M] aqueous solutions of a partially neutralized mono phosphate ester of the formula: <CHEM> wherein n has a value 0 to 3 and R is a C12 to C20 saturated or partially unsaturated linear alkyl group, or a mixture of such groups. The use of a synergist such as a long-chain alcohol, a fatty-acid derived amine oxide, or urea improves the properties of the lubricant compositions. |
