摘要	The free floating stepped piston (1) of the two-stroke internal combustion engine is connected to the working piston (2) or (3) of a hydraulic pump, so that when the stepped piston (1) moves hydraulic fluid is pumped from the low pressure line (23) to the high pressure line (26). By means of the energy accumulator (15) and a suitable control of the valves it is also possible to drive the stepped piston for the purpose of starting. In addition a plurality of two-stroke internal combustion engines can be connected to a hydraulic system of this type. <IMAGE>
