PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus capable of performing half-tone recording over a wide range, constituted by mounting a means for forming a dark color ink dot and a means for forming a light color ink dot while providing a means for selecting the operations of both means on the basis of an input signal means for controlling the size of an ink dot to be molded. CONSTITUTION:For example, in an ink jet printer, a pair of ink jet nozzles 16, 17 capable of altering the size of an injected ink droplet are provided and inks having different color densities are supplied to both of them while a means for selecting either one of the inks to inject the same or control the sizes of the ink droplets from both of them is provided to perform the selection of the jet nozzles and the size of the injected ink droplet corresponding to the density signal among input signals. |
