PURPOSE:To hold a nozzle in definite wet state for a long time, by a method wherein a tape automatic winding mechanism and a tape pressing mechanism re combined together. CONSTITUTION:At non-recording operation, a carriage 3 is moved and a lever is rotated and at the same time a ratchet wheel is also rotated, and a gear is rotated and a roller shaft 5-2 is rotated by a giving angle thereby a plastic tape 4 is wound by a given length. If the carriage 3 attains to prescribed position and is stopped there, a solenoid 7 is operated by position detecting signal generated from a position detecting means and a pushing plate 6 of elastic body is moved linearly from a retire position in arrow G direction. The plastic tape 4 is closely contacted to a printing head nozzle surface thereby the nozzle is interruped from air. In this constitution, the nozzle is held to a definite wet state irrespective of variation of outer circumstances, particularly influence of temperature and humidity. |
