PURPOSE:To obtain a gold alloy magnet with golden color by dispersing rare earth group magnetic powder uniformly in gold or gold alloy matrix. CONSTITUTION:An alloy equivalent to Sm (Co0.69Fe0.20Cu0.10Zr0.01)7.6 is subjected to high frequency smelting and casting in argon gas flow. The obtained ingot is pulverized to obtain powder with an average particle diameter of 6mum. The powder is pressed in a magnetic field and sintered at 1,200 deg.C. The sintered body is again pulverized to obtain magnetic powder with particle diameter of 44mum or less. 8-25wt% of the obtained magnetic powder is added to 75- 92wt% of pure gold powder and mixed and press-molded in a magnetic field and subjected to sintering and coining several times to obtain a sintered body. If the sintering temperature exceeds 850 deg.C, Au and Sm form a compound and the body becomes brittle and its color is turned white. Therefore, the sintering temperature must be 850 deg.C or below. |
