A method for repairing leaky insulating-glass windows with a casement and an inserted insulating-glass pane. The insulating-glass pane is formed by at least two glass panes arranged at a surface-parallel spacing in relation to one another and an interspace formed thereby. A composite element, which runs around on the edge side, for vapour-tight connection of the glass panes in relation to the atmosphere, serves at the same time as a distance piece. The interspace is in this case filled with a gas or gas mixture. To implement the method, at least one working opening to the interspace is arranged in the insulating-glass window. A gas for drying the interspace is introduced and carried off through the working opening, and furthermore a device for cleaning the glass surfaces in the interspace is introduced through this working opening. After cleaning is finished, a new insulating gas is introduced into the interspace. After repair, vapour-tight closure of the working opening is effected.
