In an open-end friction spinning machine having a plurality of spinning units which are arranged next to one another and which each contain a feed device and an opening device with a feed roller and an opening roller, two rollers arranged next to one another, driven in the same direction and forming a V-shaped nip, and a draw-off device drawing off in the direction of the V-shaped nip the yarn which is obtained, the feed device and opening device are arranged below the rollers and the draw-off device is arranged above the rollers, a plane passing though the axes of the rollers of the spinning units extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine and being so inclined that the inclined V-shaped nip is located approximately vertically above the opening roller.
