A ram guide for an eccentric press, in which the ram driven by a connecting rod is guided in vertical guideways on guide elements lying on its outer periphery, is to be improved with regard to the guidance quality. This improvement consists in designing the ram (2) as a closed box-shaped frame (5, 6, 7) which has open side-wall areas and an open base area, and in attaching it with regard to the press table (9) in such a way that the bottom frame part (6) reaches under the press table (9) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
