PURPOSE:To provide a composition having remarkably high vibration damping peak near room temperature, exhibiting stable vibration-damping effect over a wide temperature range, having improved cold resistance, heat resistance and handleability, and suitable as an interlayer of a vibration-damping composite plate, by compound a specific modified bitumen with a filler. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding 50-200 pts.wt. of a filler to 100pts.wt. of a modified bitumen having a softening point of 60-120 deg.C and penetration of 90-200 and obtained by modifying a bitumen with a thermoplastic material (e.g. styrene-butadiene rubber, polyethylene, etc.). The modification is carried out by adding 2-20pts.wt. of a thermoplastic material to 100pts.wt. of a bitumen, and melting and mixing at 160-200 deg.C for 1-3hr. |
