PURPOSE:To detect the remaining quantity of a toner by constituting the titled device so that when the quantity of toner becomes below a prescribed quantity, a member becomes turnable and moves. CONSTITUTION:A replenishing roller 22 rotates in the direction as indicated with an arrow and serves for putting a toner into its groove part 22-A and carrying it out to the lower developing tank. A rotatable member 20 receives the rotational force by the frictional force against a cylindrical surface 26 which is brought to a face contact to the replenishing roller 22. However, when the quantity of the toner in a toner tank 21 is large, the toner resistance surface 23 of the rotatable member 20 receives a resistance and becomes unturnable, and when the toner quantity in the tank decreases, the toner resistance falls, the member becomes turnable, starts to turn counterclockwise and turns to the left side. In this way, it is detected that the remaining quantity of the toner in the tank has decreased, and a replenishment into the tank can be warned. |
