Oscillator which is frequency tunable by voltage control using a comparator 1 including a first input A, a second input B and an output 5, the first input A being brought to the charging and discharging potential of a variable capacitor 2-3 through a first resistor 5 connecting the said first input A to the output S whose potential, which is applied through a second resistor 6 to the second input B, toggles from a first state to a second state and vice versa depending on whether the potential of the first input attains the potential of the second input while rising or while falling. According to the invention, the second input B is furthermore connected, by way of a third resistor 7 and optionally a capacitor 8, to a reference potential which is preferably zero. <IMAGE>
