PURPOSE:To reform S-shaped misconvergence by a method, in which a pair of magnetic pieces are arranged top and bottom in the vertical direction so as to be horizontally symmetrical between the window parts of a horizontal deflection coil and a vertical deflection coil for correcting the pincushion magnetic flux distribution. CONSTITUTION:A deflection yoke device is arranged for a color cathode-ray tube in the inline form. A horizontal coil 10 wound in saddle-type is arranged on the inner face of a separator 11, while the exposed side of the coil 10 faces the tube wall of the cathode-ray tube. The window parts 12 and 12 are formed on the upper-and-lower parts in the vertical-and-Y-axial directions of the coil 10, while the vertical deflection coil 14 is provided in the outward direction of the separator 11. The coil 14 is wound on a core 15 of ferrite or the like. The magnetic pieces 16 and 16 are mounted on top and bottom on the Y-axis of the window parts 12 and 12 so as to be held between the separators 11. The length in the X-axial direction and the length in the Y-axial direction of the magnetic piece 16 are formed into a section of about 1 to 1 or not exceeding 1 to 1. In this way, the S-shaped misconvergence due to the coil 10 can be reformed.
