PURPOSE:To prevent a solid state image pick-up element from reflecting light by a method wherein the internal surface of a cover member is processed for the prevention of light reflection. CONSTITUTION:A light reflection preventing film 7 approximately 0.1mum thick is formed on overall internal surface of a cover member 6. If the cover member 6 is made of glass, the light reflection preventing film 7 may be made of, e.g. MgF2 etc. Any light incoming through the cover member 6 is reflected by the surface of a solid image pick-up element 1 with the reflected light reaching said cover member 6. However the reflected light will not be reflected by the light reflection preventing film 7 formed on the internal surface of said cover mamber 6 not to deteriorate the picture quality of the element 1. |
