PURPOSE:To perform sure detection of transition generating no erroneous detection according to the generating site of transition of a superconductive coil by a method wherein the temperature rise of the superconductive coil is detected by using the unique characteristic of a semiconductor diode at a temperature in the neighborhood of the liquid helium temperature. CONSTITUTION:A diode D is fixed to the surface of a superconductive conductor coil 30 according to an adhesive B. An applying voltage Vt0 a little lower than a voltage Vt1 to start a current to flow abruptly in the neighborhood of the liquid helium temperature is applied previously to the diode D. When transition is generated to the superconductive coil 30 at such condition, and the temperature rise of the conductor 3 of the superconductive coil 30 is generated, the temperature of the diode D rises, and the voltage to generate abrupt flowing of the current transfers to the voltage Vt2 from the voltage Vt1. While because the applying voltage Vt0 a little lower than the voltage Vt1 is applied previously to the diode D, when the voltage Vt transfers to the voltage Vt2 from the voltage Vt1, because the applied voltage Vt0 thereof is the voltage sufficient to flow the current to the diode D, the current I starts to flow to the diode D. Accordingly, generation of transition to the superconductive coil can be detected according to the current I thereof. |
