PURPOSE:To supply toner accurately and to correct the set number of sheets automatically to the number of sheets to which images can be formed by judging whether images can be formed by the preset number of sheets or not from the rest of a developer and calculating the number of sheets or not from the rest of a developer and calculating the number of sheets by which images can be formed, and displaying the possible number of sheets of image formation and whether image formation is possible or not. CONSTITUTION:The output of a counter 13 is sent out t a toner consumption calculating circuit 14, which calculates the amount of toner which is consumed for one-sheet printing from the number of dots. The number of dots and the toner consumption is in proportional relation and the toner consumption is calculated accurately from the number of dots, so the calculation result of the toner consumption calculating circuit 14 is sent out to a supply control part 18 which controls a supply driving part 19 for driving a supply roller 5a, thereby supplying toner on the basis of the calculation result. When the supply driving part 19 is composed of a pulse motor, the pulse motor outputs a pulse signal corresponding to a driving time to control the driving of the supply roller 5a. Thus, an image having invariably stable density is outputted and the rest of developing materials is controlled accurately. |
