PURPOSE:To provide heat sensitive recording paper free from background fogging, obtained by coating support paper with a composition enabled in high speed and high temp. coating and drying containing a dye precursor and a coupler in such a state that at least one of them is micro-encapsulated while pressing the coated surface of the obtained recording paper to rupture the microcapsule. CONSTITUTION:In preparing heat sensitive recording paper by containing two components of a usually colorless or light colored dye precursor (e.g., Crystal violet lactone or 3-diethylamino-7-methylfluorane) and a coupler (e.g., phenol, benzoic acid or salicylic acid) for forming a color through the reaction with said dye precursor under heating as main components, both or either one of said two components are dispersed in an org. solvent consisting of aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons (e.g., ligroin or cyclopentane) inert to said two components to be microencapsulated while these main components are applied to a support and the entire surface or the partial surface of the coated surface is pressed to rupture the microcapsule. |
