PURPOSE:To bend and fracture a pressure welding swell of reinforcing steel by welding two plates directly from the front end surface of a hydraulic cylinder, and holding a test piece between both support plates with a couple of support pins and moving forth a presser under hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:Two upper and lower strap support plates 3a and 3b are extended to the front end surface of the hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder 1 at intervals, their base parts are welded directly to the front end surface of the cylinder 1 to form a united rigid structure, and a pressure ram 4 enters and exits from a space 8. The test piece of reinforcing steel 9 having a pressure welding swell 9a is held with a couple of reinforcing steel support pins 5a and 5b, and the pressure ram 4 is moved forth by supplying a pressurized medium to the cylinder to press the presser 4a against the center of the swell 9a, fracturing the swell in the bondary surface of pressure welding. This fracture surface is observed through a confirmation hole 7 with the naked eye to confirm the quality of the gas weldabilty of the reinforcing steel, its method or technique, etc. |
