PURPOSE:To obtain an iron making desulfurizing reagent with low unit product of usage and excellent workability, by sintering hydrated calcium aluminate at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:The hydrated calcium aluminate defined by a formula 3CaO. Al2O3.nH2O (n; integer) is sintered at the temperature of 500-1,000 deg.C, whereby calcium aluminate defined by a formula 12CaO.7Al2O3+mCaO (m; integer) is obtained. This becomes the main component of an iron making desulfurizing reagent. Said desulfurizing reagent has low unit amount of usage and excellent workability. |
