PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory casting having no casting defects by pressurizing and charging a molten metal by a specified volume of the gas sealed hermetically in the space above the molten metal by increasing the pressure of said gas so that the molten metal is pressurized by the uniform pressure each time. CONSTITUTION:When a plunger member 29 is advanced to enter the space above the molten metal in a vessel 5 for the molten metal, the gas pressure in the space part is increased and the molten metal is pressurized and charged through a molten metal injecting hole 6 and a molten metal charging hole 19 into a mold cavity 18. The pressurized condition is continued and when the surface of the molten metal in the cavity 18 is solidified, the member 29 is retreated to the home position and the molten metal in the cavity 18 is disconnected from the molten metal in the cavity 18 is disconnected from the molten metal inthe vessel 5. A die matching cylinder 22 is then retracted to rise an upper die 17 holding a casting on the bottom surface and an ejector pin 26 contacts a stopper member 28 so that the casting is ejected below the die surface of the die 17 and is dropped. |
