PURPOSE:To remove processing dust in the processing gap forcedly by introducing a compressed air into the processing gap intermittently from a vent provided in the electrode and a nozzle provided in the neighborhood of the gap. CONSTITUTION:Vents 11, 14 are provided in electric discharge processing electrode 8, mounting shaft 10, electrode holder 9, etc. in such a way as opening toward the processing gap. A nozzle 18 is arranged in the neighborhood of the processing gap. Compressed air is introduced to these vents 11, 14 and nozzle 18 intermittently, and thereby the processing liquid, which has intruded in them, is sprayed out to the processing gap. Thus the processing dust can be exhausted forcedly. The amount of compressed air shall be such that it is not sprayed out to the processing gap, so as to prevent generation of discharging in the air. |
