In a withdrawal device for the roadway support system in underground working, consisting of overlapping support-section segments held together with clamped connections, which withdrawal device consists of a gripper and a hydraulic cylinder, provision is made according to the invention for the hydraulic cylinder and a clamp fastened to the cylinder on the piston-rod side to be connected to the hook of the gripper leg, the gripper joint being arranged on a cantilever formed on the clamp, and the other gripper leg being designed as a double-arm rocker, one arm of which has an articulated support plate which can placed against the support-section base and the other arm of which carries the ball socket, which can be adjusted by means of a spindle screwed into a parallel joint.
