PURPOSE:To simplify production process and reduce production cost by holding a glass tube in the recess of a heater so that the opening end can be received and an electrode member so that the glass tube can partially be protruded and depositing the end of the glass tube on the electrode member using the heater. CONSTITUTION:A recess 19 is provided in a heater 18 and an anode member 4 or a cathode member 9 is vertically held in this recess 19. At the same time, a glass tube 32 is vertically held and the end of the glass tube 32 is heated and melted by the heater 18 in this state and then a sealing section is formed by airtightly depositing the anode member 4 or the cathode member 9 on the pertinent end. Since work is sharply simple and the sealing section can be formed in a short time, mass production is enabled and a product with the same standard can accurately be obtained without any uneveness in dimensional accuracy. |
