PURPOSE:To obtain a stable copy by decreasing gradually the running speed of a web as the number of times of formation of a picture increases after a lubricating powder granule is supplied. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device is constituted so that, when it is actuated, to detect whether the number of passing sheets is <=50,000 sheets or exceeds them and to vary the speed of a web 4 to 0.2mm./sec in accordance with whether the area of the part to which a developer adheres exceeds 10% of the whole exposed area or not with regard to said respective cases, and to increase the speed when the number of passing sheets is small, and also the larger the area is, the more the speed is increased to remove a toner and the lubricant of larger quantity. |
