PURPOSE:To operate the titled equipment with a few keys of a remote control transmitter even when many operating functions and devices to be controlled are employed by displaying the content of operation and a movable cursor on the screen of a cathode-ray tube of a television receiver to attain an operation guidance form. CONSTITUTION:The key 87 of the remote control transmitter 8 is operated to display a menu of a device connected to a television receiver on a cathode- ray tube screen of the television receiver in an easily understandable pattern and the key 88 displays a cursor, and keys 82, 83, 85, 86 move the cursor to upper/lower/left/right and stop the cursor at a pattern displaying a device desired to be operated, the input key 84 is operated to display various operating functions of the device on the CRT screen, and a desired display is selected by the cursor similarly, and the input key 84 is operated, then the function is operated. The color selected by the cursor is made different from the color of other display so that the selection of any device or function is made easily understandable by the user. |
