<p>PURPOSE:To lock a steering gear without a key by rotating a rotator through a gear device by a motor to operate a rod for locking and releasing a steering shaft by the rotation of the rotator. CONSTITUTION:A frame 13 supporting rotatably a steering shaft 10 is in the upper portion with a guide hole 17 and a receiving cavity 15 communicating to a cylindrical hole 14 into which a shaft 10 is fitted. In the guide hole 17 are received a locking rod 18 and a hanger 19 movably to removably engage a groove 11 in the steering shaft 10, and the rod 18 is urged to said groove 11 side through the hanger 19 by a spring 20. The rod 18 and the hanger 19 are moved by a cam 29 of a rotator 21, and the rotator 21 is rotated through a gear assembly 23 by a motor 22. And the motor 22 is driven when the input signal of a key board of a keyless steering lock control circuit coincides with the memory signal of a memory circuit.</p> |
