Press comprises two press surfaces to apply pressure to the tool. In order for the press surfaces and tool to operate, a chosen liq. medium fills a cavity which has the same extend as the moulding cavity. This medium is a thermal conductor and is incompressible and is a metal e.g. indium or an alloy e.g. bismuth-indium, indium-tin, cadmium-indium, bismuth-lead, bismuth-tin, bismuth-cadmium, cadmium-tin or ad-tin. lead-tin. The medium can alternatively be silicone oil or a ceramic powder iwth a lubricant. |
