MANUFACTURE OF PANEL GRID FOR LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To obtain a panel grid having increased grid structures made of acid- proof synthetic resin and good productivity. CONSTITUTION:A portion of lug 4 and L-shaped structure 5 of a guide 3 shown by double slants in a panel grid 1 composed of acid-proof synthetic resin is made thinner than the slant section and laterally lined section. At first the slanted section is immersed in fused lead alloy to form a thin lead film or lead alloy film then the double slanted section is immersed in fused lead or lead alloy to provide uniform thickness. Consequently thin lead or lead alloy film covering a portion of grid structures positioned at two separated positions is connected electrically through L-shaped structure 5. Consequently even in case where grid structures are arranged in more than two rows, it is conducted reliably to paste active substance and formed easily to increase the number of grid structures 1 constructing a panel grid resulting in a panel grid having high productivity.
