DEVICE FOR BINDING METALLIC PULL RING TO VESSEL CAP SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH FORMING RING

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which forms and binds quickly and surely pull rings by the constitution in which preforms and vessel caps are set to units for forming and binding the pull rings and the pull rings are curled and bound by a mandrel, curling tool, etc. CONSTITUTION:Plural units 52 for forming and binding pull rings are provided around a rotary support 28 which is continuously driven to rotate around a static supporting shaft 22 in a means 16 for forming and binding pull rings. The preform supplied in a receiving region for the preform is held by a freely vertically movable mandrel member 102 and lower mandrel member 130 in said unit 52. The free end of the tear-off tab of a vessel cap supplied in a receiving region for the vessel cap is pressed to the preform fixed by said mandrel and is pressed by a hammering means 140 so that both are formed to the same curvature. The preform is curled to a ring by the cooperation of an upper curling tool 98 and a lower curling tool 136 and at the same time the free end of the tear-off tab of the vessel cap is curled by which both are bound.
