PURPOSE:To save energy at the time of a start-up or acceleration from a low rotational speed by filling approximately half a volume of a cavity in a wheel as a flywheel with liquid etc. and displacing its center of gravity in response to the rotational movement. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 1 has in its wheel 2 multiple cavities 3 symmetrically relative to the center of a rotary shaft 5. The cavities include the rotary shaft in their axial direction, and have in their interior equal amount of weights 4a-4d for displacing the center of gravity. At the time of an engine start-up or a low speed operation, the weights 4a-4d move spontaneously due to the gravity in response to the rotational angle in the cavities 3 for displacing the center of gravity of the wheel. When tilted several degrees to the right, a liquid weight 4a in the cavity 3 moves outwardly and the liquid 4c inwardly, and so the center of gravity of the flywheel 1 moves from point A to point B to generate a right-hand torque. In this manner, the flywheel rotates continuously with an input of energy only in a small amount. |
