PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity of interrupting the operation of an electronic controlled internal-combustion engine by installing a back-up apparatus which controls the engine so that the operation continues even during the time when a trouble occurs in the electronic computer of the internal-combustion engine and a counterplan is considered. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controlled internal-combustion engine is equipped with a motor 37 driven in synchronization with the internal combustion engine, records 40-43 in which each opening and closing time for a valve which is driven by the motor 37 and is opened and closed by the operation of the engine is recorded beforehand in accordance with the revolution angle, detecting means 44 and 45 which read out the valve opening and closing timings from the above-described records 40-43, and a switching circuit 36 for feeding the back-up data read-out by the detection means 44 and 45 into the driving system for the above-described valve. When an anomaly occurs in a central processor or in a Diesel engine controlling circuit 20 because of a certain reason, the switching circuit 36 is switched to the back-up data C side according to an anomaly detecting signal 49, and a control valve 30 is controlled by the signals of limit switches 44 and 45 independently of the control information B, and the engine continues operation. |
