PURPOSE:To prevent easily the flattening deformation in a bending part in titled pipe without affecting the shape of the pipe by maintaining the state of exerting external force on the outside circumference in the heating part of the pipe so as to follow up the movement of the pipe by the prescribed extent of movement. CONSTITUTION:While a pipe 1 is heated by a high frequency heating coil 7, the pipe is extruded backward by an extruding member 36 and a bending roller 21 is depressed in contact with the top side of the pipe 1 by turning of an arm 20, by which the bending of the pipe 1 is accomplished. A pressing device 22 grips the pipe 1 by means of pressers 27, 28 actuated by the hydraulic cylinder 32 thereof and is moved by an air cylinder 25 in synchronization with the extrusion of the pipe 1. When the device is moved by a prescribed extent, the cylinder 32 is actuated to release the pressing and a cylinder 25 is actuated reverse to reset the device 22 to the home position, by which the pipe 1 is immediately held again. The device is then moved together with the pipe 1. |
