PURPOSE:To prevent light fading, dark fading, bluing and staining and to eliminate the effect of no washing on the finish of a dye image by processing a color photographic sensitive silver halide material with a stabilizing soln. contg. a specified amount of an ammonium compound. CONSTITUTION:A color photographic sensitive silver halide material is processed with a stabilizing soln. of >=5.0pH contg. an ammonium compound added by 0.001-1.0mol/l in the final stage of color processing. A compound capable of releasing ammonium ion in an aqueous soln. is used as the ammonium compound, and for example, an aqueous ammonia soln., ammonium bromide or ammonium carbonate is used. By using the stabilizing soln. of >=5.0pH contg. the ammonium compound in the final processing stage, dyeing with a fluorescent dye or a sensitizing dye is prevented, and the deterioration of an image during storage can be perfectly prevented. |
