PURPOSE:To provide the titled compound represented by a specific composition formula, obtained by a hydrothermal synthesis, and useful as an active component of a catalyst for the production of hydrocarbons from mathanol or dimethyl ether. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline beryllosilicate of formula (M is univalent cation; a is 1-5; b is 1; c is 50-2,000; n is 0-10) obtained by hydrothermal synthesis. It is useful as an active component of a catalyst for the production of hydrocarbons from methanol and/or dimethyl ether. The representative catalyst used hitherto for the purpose is crystalline aluminosilicate, which has excellent catalytic activity but poor selectivity of lower olefin in the produced hydrocarbons. In contrast to the above, the titled compound enables the selective production of lower olefins and has stable activity. |
