PURPOSE:To aim at saving lavor in a process of grinding a weld bead in a butt weld part, by providing, in a device for grinding the weld bead, a guide frame with a predetermined distance from a surface to be ground, and as well by moving a disc-like grind stone support bed along the guide frame. CONSTITUTION:A feed screw 19 is moved by means of a handle in one direction on a surface 1 to be ground to make a grind stone into contact with a part such as, for example, a welded part to be ground. In this condition, a stop valve V1 is opened after opening of a throttle valve V2, compressed air from a compressed air source 70 flows into air-motors 13, 33 to drive and rotate the grind stone 14 and a sprocket 35, and therefore, sprockets 35, 42 are meshed with a chain 40 and moved while the grind stone 14 grinds the surface 1 to be ground. When a support bed 10 is moved to a predetermined position, a switching lever abuts against a stopper 68 so that a reverse valve V4 is changed over to move the support bed 10 in the opposite direction, and therefore, a rack gear 22 rotates a pinion gear 21 to make the grind stone 14 cut into the part to be ground. In this condition, the grind stone 14 moves in the opposite direction on the surface 1 to be ground so that the surface 1 is ground. When the grind stone 14 has come to be the same surface as the surface 1, no more cutting is made. |
