PURPOSE:To obtain a cupro hollow yarn having easiness to assemble and a high performance during dialysis with a high packing fraction by providing the hollow yarn of cupro-ammonium cellulose fibers having a circular cross section having a spcified inside diameter, specified wall thickness and outside diameter enlargement rate. CONSTITUTION:An organic liquid noncoagulable in a cupro-ammonium cellulose soln. having >=0.1wt% solubility in water such as fatty acid ester of ethyl valerianate is used as a hollow forming agent. When the original soln. for spinning cupro-ammonium cellulose fibers is discharged from an annular spinneret, the organic soln. is discharged in the center of the spinning soln. In this way, the hollow yarn, consisting of regenerated cupro-ammonium cellulose fibers and having a hollow part piercing through continuously the whole length of the fiber, a circular cross section having 50-500mum inside diameter and 2-60mum wall thickness, can be formed. In addition, since said organic soln. is used as the hollow forming agent, the outside diameter enlargement rate when dipped in water at an ordinary temp. becomes 25-30%.
