PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality visible image by low recording voltage, by such a simple process that the developer moved between electrodes is selectively supplied to an object to be recorded corresponding to a recording signal by a recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:When AC voltage VA is applied to electrodes 41, 44, 46, 410 by an AC power source 5 and AC voltage VB to electrodes 42, 45, 48, 411 by an AC power source 6 while AC voltage Vc to electrodes 43, 46, 49, 412 by an AC power source 7, an AC electric field with an advance wave form is generated to the surface of a carrier 3 and toner 2 is fed toward the definite direction shown by the arrow on the carrier 3 along electric line of force generated between adjacent electrodes. When negative signal voltage is applied to a dot shaped electrode 8 by a signal source 9, an electric field is generated between the dot electrode 8 and the opposed electrode 11 and the negatively charged toner 2 moving along the electric line of force between the electrodes 48, 49 is attracted to the opposed electrode 11 at the center part therebetween and adhered to an object 12 to be recorded to perform the formation of a visible image. |
