PURPOSE:To manufacture TSZ-crystalline alumino silicate whose crystalline grain size is controlled by setting up the composition ratio of a silica source, alumina source and alkaline source in an aqueous reaction mixture consisting of inorg. reaction materials in a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous reaction mixture obtd. by mixing a silica source (e.g. sodium silicate), an alumina source (e.g. sodium aluminate), an alkaline source (e.g. sodium hydroxide), water and if necessary, a precipitation auxiliary, a mineralizer or the like is allowed to react at about 120-230 deg.C for 5hr-10 days for manufacturing crystalline alumino silicate (TSZ) which shows a specified powder X-ray diffraction pattern (refer to the table). In above-mentioned method, by setting up respectively the molar ratios of SiO2/Al2O3, M2/nO/SiO2, M2/nO/ Al2O3 (M is metallic cation, n is its atomic valence) to in the range of 10-130, 0.01-0.5, >=1; alumino silicate having about 0.1-2mu crystalline grain size is obtd.
