PURPOSE:To enhance graininess, sharpness, and sensitivity by specifying silver concentration and dry film thickness of a silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating the scavenger of the oxidation product of a high-speed reactive developing agent having a relative reaction velocity of 1.6-15.0. CONSTITUTION:At least one of blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers has a silver concentration of >=4.0X10<-1>g/cm<3>, and it has a dry film thickness of <=4.0mum, and at least one of green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers has a silver concentration of >=5.0X10<-1>g/cm<3>, and it has a dry film thickness of <=4.5mum. At least one of the conditions of said blue-sensitive emulsion layer and the conditions of said green-sensitive emulsion layer is satisfied. The blue- sensitive emulsion layer and/or the green-sensitive emulsion layer of said silver concentration or a nonemulsion layer adjacent to at least one of these emulsion layers contains the scavenger of the oxidation product of the high-speed reactive developing agent having a relative reaction velocity of 1.6-15.0, thus permitting graininess and sharpness to be improved of course, and further, an interimage effect, desilverbility, and sensitivity to be greatly enhanced. |
