PURPOSE:To form a laminated sheet which has good heat resistance and processability, does not have malodor, is not discolored and has excellent flame resistance, by impregnating a substrate with a thermosetting resin compsn. contg. a specified synthetic resin flame retarder, drying it and pressing it with heating. CONSTITUTION:A halogenated dihydroxy compd. of formula I (wherein X is halogen, R1 is a 1-4C alkylidene, alkylene; m, n are each 1, 2) is reacted with a halogenated monoglycidyl ether of formula II (wherein R2 is H, a 1-4C alkyl; lis 1-3) in a molar ratio of 1:1-3. The reaction product having an MW of 700-1,400 is reacted with a glycol type diglycidyl ether compd. in a quantity of 0.1-1mol per mol of said product to obtain a synthetic resin flame retarder. Said flame retarder is blended with a thermosetting resin. The resulting resin compsn. is used to produce laminated sheets in a conventional manner. |
