PURPOSE:An external preparation for decoloring extraordinary pigmentation such as chloasma, stain, freckle, etc. occurring in the skin, having low irritation, having improved stability, containing a fatty acid ester of o-diphenol. CONSTITUTION:An external preparation for skin containing 0.01-30wt%, preferably 1-20wt% based on total amount of the external preparation for skin of a fatty acid ester of o-diphenol, preferably monofatty acid ester, especially compound shown by the formula [R1 is 2-18C straight-chain or branched chain saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group (methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, tert-butyl, propenyl, etc.), alkoxy (OCH3, OC2H5, etc.)[, having improved decoloring effect, low irritation, sensitization and stability with time. |
