PURPOSE:To prevent the discoloration and fading of a dye image by successively coating a support with blue-, green- and red-sensitive specified silver halide emulsion layers and an ultraviolet absorbing layer. CONSTITUTION:A support is successively coated with a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a yellow coupler represented by formula I and having >=1.0 weight ratio of a high b.p. solvent for dispersing the coupler to the coupler, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a two-equiv. magenta coupler represented by formula II, a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a cyan coupler represented by formula III, and a layer contg. an ultraviolet absorber represented by formula IV. In the formulae, R1 is N-phenylcarbamoyl; each of R2 and R3 is phenyl; R4 is sulfonyl or the like; each of R5, R6, R8 and R12 is H, halogen or the like; R7 is alkyl; and each of X, Y and Z is a group eliminable by coupling. The dye stability of yellow, magenta and cyan dye images can be improved.
