PURPOSE:To improve workability, by injecting Freon gas in an annular space between a socket and a spigot, thereby ensuring easy testing by a simple device. CONSTITUTION:An annular rubber tube 11 is inserted between an innermost stepped surface 10 and the tip of a spigot 2, and air is injected in the tube 11 so as to seal the gap. An annular space 13 is formed and Freon gas is injected in the annular space 13 by pressurization. The injecting pressure of the Freon gas is made lower than the injecting pressure of the air into the annular rubber tube 11, and gas leakage from the annular rubber tube 11 is prevented. Thus, the annular space 13 is filled up with the Freon gas under the pressurized state. When a sensor 16 is moved in the circumferential direction at the opening part of the socket 1, the leak can be detected, and the sealing quality can be readily confirmed. |
