PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly and disassembly by installing return caps having a groove for changing the direction of ball at the both edges of an outer face so as to form a ball circulation passage, with a retainer, in a ball spline for industrial robots, etc. CONSTITUTION:Three retainers 20 are positioned in an outer race, and one return cap 40 is fitted onto an outer race 10, and a groove 42 is engaged with the projection 25 of the retainer 20. Then, balls are charged, and the other return cap 40 is installed at the other edge similarly. With such constitution, the balls circulate a ball circulation passage which is formed by the ball changing grooves 24 and 24' of the retainer 20 and the ball changing grooves 41 and 41' of the return cap. With such constitution, assembly and disassembly are facilitated, and the structure of the outer race can be simplified.
