<p>PURPOSE:To remove waiting time for printing from a computer by forming a time circuit to be driven by applying in order the 1st and 2nd signals from the computer, and after a prescribed time (the time required for printing one character) is passed, sending an interruption signal to the computer. CONSTITUTION:A serial data signal Sd sent from a CPU10 is converted into a parallel signal S4 and applied to a latch circuit 5. The signal stored in the latch circuit 5 is applied to a selecting part 8 on a thermal head through a transistor (TR) array circuit 6 as an output signal S5 and a thermal printer prints out characters. On the other hand, the CPU10 actuates the time circuit 13 simultaneously with the sending of a latch signal SL, and after the prescribed time is passed, the time circuit 13 outputs an interruption signal to the CPU10 to clear the contents of the latch circuit 5. The data signal is stored in a latch circuit 6 and the completion of printing is informed from the time circuit 13, so that it is unecessary for the CPU to wait until the completion of printing.</p> |
