PURPOSE:To manufacture colored expandable polystyrene beads suitable as packaging material, etc., easily at a low cost, by mixng a dye or pigment with an organic liquid color developer to obtain a liquid or pasty toner, and adding the toner to expandable polystyrene beads. CONSTITUTION:A dye or a pigment is mixed with an organic liquid color developer having moderate compatibility with expandable polystyrene bead by e.g. a three-roll mill, etc., and the resultant liquid or pasty toner is mixed uniformly to the above beads to obtain colored expandable beads. |
