PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the captioned brake apparatus by controlling a brake booster and softening the boosting action of the booster, when an electronic system information processing unit detects wheel locking from the revolution signal of a wheel. CONSTITUTION:The brake liquid pressure which is discharged, by the stepping- in of a brake pedal 3, from a master cylinder 3 connected to the output side of a brake booster 1 is directly supplied to a front-wheel brake 6 and supplied to a rear brake 8 through a proportioning valve 9, and the high-pressure side piping 11 and the low-pressure side piping 12 of a liquid pressure source 10 are connected to the above-described booster 1. A pair of control valves 15 and 15' for opening and closing the pipings 11 and 12 are installed onto the booster 1. When wheel locking is detected in an electronic system information processing unit 16 on the basis of the output of a revolution sensor 17 installed onto the wheels 5 and 7, the boosting action of the booster 1 is softened by throttling the control valve 15 and opening the control valve 15', and the wheel lock is released. |
