The invention relates to an automatic work-clamping device for machine tools, with a main body, an annular piston displaceable in the latter and having a cylindrical stem portion, an adjusting ring displaceable on the latter only in the radial direction and having an inclined outer circumferential surface, at least three clamping levers mounted in radially pivotable fashion at equal circumferential spacings on the main body and each having an end portion resting against the inclined circumferential surface of the adjusting ring, clamping jaws displaceable only in the radial direction on the main body and moved by means of the adjusting levers, at least three blocking pistons axially displaceable in the main body and each having a wedge-like blocking element displaceable in the interspace between the stem portion of the annular piston and the inner side of the adjusting ring, and pressure-medium-actuated actuating devices for moving the annular piston and the blocking pistons.
