PURPOSE:To enable working while measuring the extent of biting of a bit by providing a spindle, in an electric drill body in parallel to said bit, and providing an indicator which corresponds to a scale in parallel to sid spindle. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 5 is supported by a body 1, being placed in parallel to a bit 3. The spindle 5 is brought in contact with a workpiece 9 and can be pulled out from and pushed into the body 1, while an indicator 8 moves over a scale 7. When carrying out drilling work by operating an electric drill, the indicator 8 of the spindle 5 which moves in accordance with the extent of biting of the cutting edge of the bit, is moved to the right of the zero point of the scale 7, indicating the extent of biting of the bit 3 by the distance of movement. |
