<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head capable of printing with favorable print quality or at high speed at low cost, by using a polyimide mixed with particulates having a thermal conductivity as a heat-accumulating layer. CONSTITUTION:The thermal head is comprised of a protective film 1, a feeder body 2, a heating resistor 3, the heat-accumulating layer 4, an adhesive layer and a heat-radiating layer 6. In said thermal head, a material obtained by mixing particulates 7 having a high thermal conductivity, for example, copper particulates into a polyimide film is used as the heat-accomulating layer 4, whereby it is enabled to improve the fall of the surface temperature of the head and enhance printing speed or prevent a trailing phenomenon.</p> |
