PURPOSE:In a brakeband where the innercircumference of substrate of belt is applied with lining, to reduce vibration and noise by varying the cross-section of substrate in the way thereby differentiating the inter-node distance of vibration partially when braking. CONSTITUTION:A band 4 is constituted of main section 4a and sub-section 4b which are made respectively by applying linings 3 onto the innercircumference of substrate belt. Here the substrate 2 of sub-section 4b is formed thicker than the substrate 2 of main section 4a, while the cross-section factors of main section 4a and sub-section 4b are made different. Consequently upon frictional contact between the innercircumference of lining 3 and outercircumference of brake ring 1 under braking, main section 4a and sub-section 4b are vibrated with different node distance. Consequently the entirety of band 4 is hard to vibrate to reduce frequency for producing noise under braking and even when noise is produced, its level is low. |
